Volunteering for FSAE
We are currently recruiting students from the classes of 2012, 2013, and 2014. Applications need to be turned in as soon as possible for all sophomores interested in being part of the 2012 team, applications will be reviewed immediately. Virginia Tech Formula SAE regularly recruits volunteers from all majors and all classes. However, academic credit will only be granted to ME, ECE and CPE majors. No automotive experience is necessary, only a desire to learn and work hard. We strongly encourage anyone who wants to be on VT FSAE for senior design to volunteer first. We like to have experienced, hardworking, and knowledgeable people on our design team, so we promote from within as much as possible. Some of our most valuable people have been on the team for four years or longer by the time they graduate. We would like to point out that we typically do not allow new volunteers to drive because we do not want people coming on just so they can take the car for a spin. Our shop is located at the Ware Lab and it is open to volunteers from 8am-5pm. To see where the Ware Lab is click here. |
